Thorn box with blackthorns

Blackthorns are
traditionally used in many types of magick and spells
but can be difficult to source. Spirit of Old are
pleased to offer sets of carefully gathered blackthorns
from southern Britain complete with a reusable box.
The box is handcrafted
from blackthorn wood which has the beautifully textured
bark left intact and is finished with a deepest black
bog oak lid which is crafted from 2,300 year old wood
dating back to the Celtic Iron Age.

Owl Guide dream amulet

This warm-coloured amulet
is crafted from the wood of a yew root and is carved into a
beautiful owl, traditionally associated with dreams and
night journeys. As an alternative to wearing the
pendant, it is also ideal for hanging near the bed for a
dream charm. This particular amulet does not come with a
box. The
owl is threaded onto a cord thong and is filled with
mugwort which was respectfully gathered from next to the
prehistoric site of Stonehenge in southern Britain.
Mugwort has been used
for millennia to aid clairvoyance, lucid dreaming and
astral projection.
Our ancestors drank tea made from the leaves and it has
also been used in incenses or smoked to induce visions.

The body of the box is
handcrafted from the deepest black bog oak wood which
dates from the Celtic Iron Age, around 2,300 years ago.
The lid is crafted from slightly lighter ancient
Avalonian bog oak which is approximately 3,000 years old
and from the area of the Sweet Track, a Bronze age
trackway in the Somerset Levels near Glastonbury. This
rare and beautiful wood is a deep, warm brown colour and
feels full of positive energies.

Alder Bran/ Raven dream
pendant and box

This warm-coloured dream
pendant is crafted from alder wood and is carved into a
beautiful raven. Ravens and alder are both traditionally
associated with the Celtic god, Bran. Amongst the Celts,
the raven was a very sacred bird and they have long been
seen as protectors and birds of prophecy.
The raven is threaded onto thonging, currently made of
leather but this can be changed to cord thonging at your
request. He is filled with mugwort which was
respectfully gathered from next to the prehistoric site
of Stonehenge in southern Britain and he also rests upon
a bed of it within the birch bark storage box when not
in use. As an alternative to wearing this pendant, it is
